I. Expectations:
 Students should follow all school rules. (No hats, no cell phones, no I-pods, etc)
 A neat, complete notebook is to be maintained at all times and will be beneficial when studying for
topical/quarterly exams.
 Students are to be seated, with their homework on their desks, ready to begin class when the bell
rings.
 Student participation is necessary and will be reflected in their grades. When participating, please be
sure to raise your hand and wait to be recognized before asking or answering any questions.
 If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get the class notes and homework assignments you missed.
 Last but not least, courteous and respectful behavior is to be maintained at all times.
II. Students MUST bring the following to class each day:
 A loose-leaf binder to be used EXCLUSIVELY for Math.
 Loose-leaf Paper-a great deal will be needed throughout the year!
 Graph Paper – to be used for various topics and ruler.
 At least 2 pencils and 2 pens (Blue/Black ink only). Colored pens - to be used to check your work.
 Textbook should be covered and brought to class everyday.
 A TI – 83 plus graphing calculator is highly recommended since the graphing calculator must be used on
the Integrated Algebra Regents.
III. Homework:
Homework will be assigned 4-5 times per week. Assignments should have the proper heading: name, date,
assignment number and detailed assignment. Homework must be completed in order to “keep up” with
daily lessons. If the student is having difficulty he/she should appear for extra help. Any assignments
