The college was named as one of the top 10 contributing companies with more than 100 employees for United Way’s 2003-2004 annual fund-raising campaign. In addition, SFCC contributors doubled their donations from the previous year, bringing the “Above and Beyond” award to the college. United Way is a national organization dedicated to bringing communities together to focus on important human needs faced by the local population. Focus areas have included supporting aging populations, helping youth succeed and promoting self-sufficiency.
