Water Molecule Model
Task: Make a creative model of water working in groups of three. Include labels and information that you
will present to the class.
Materials: You are responsible for bringing your own materials. Be creative and keep it inexpensive. Extra
points will be given if you avoid Styrofoam.
Include in your molecule model:
one atom of oxygen, two atoms of hydrogen, the proper angle between hydrogen atoms, the proper
number of electrons, the proper number of protons, the proper number of neutrons, the proper
charge of each side of the molecule, and where hydrogen bonds with oxygen (between models)
