Administrative Services Staff Meeting January 4, 2011 PRESENT: Babs Atane Rocky Bonura Julie Bourlier Tom Brown Tom Connolly Janice Ely SL Bob Gann Jo Ann Higdon Bruce Hoerning Reuben James Andy Nasatir Rachelle Sasser Fred Sturner Michael Trevis John Wagstaff Satish Warrier Minutes: Minutes from December 14th meeting was approved with the following changes: Under Humanities Theft section o Change the third bullet to read “John said that the two faculties have been given new laptops with their old hard drive with their old data.” Under Julie’s section: o First bullet - add $ signs in front of the number to read, “$7,000 ….$1,500”. o Third bullet – change sentence to read “….cannot sell the textbooks, they must return the books to the EOP&S office.” Jo Ann: Get your Program Plan/Unit Plan inputted into Plan Builder. Make sure you are working with the new Strategic Initiative. Special Trustee for Compton Center is Dr. Genethia Hudley-Hayes, who will officially begin next week. Rocky - provide an analysis for the legal fees: how much did ECC pay versus SWACC. President would like to see the timeline for installations of camera around campus. Kudos to ITS from Human Resources Department for helping HR staff. Babs might have to help Compton with their Bond Audit issues. Received an invitation from School First to join them at their Santa Ana office on January 11th or 12th regarding presentation on 403B Plan. Janice or Tom can attend. Committee Reports/Division Issues: Mike: Over the winter break at the center, number of cats turned up dead. Animal Control suggested Raccoons might be the culprit. Thanked Bruce and his crew for getting their office fixed. Babs: Continuing work on the summer programs. Need to get the process started on tagging the Bond and federally funded program equipments. Janice: Further research with LACOE needs to be done with the State Disability Insurance issue with part-time faculty. State Chancellor’s office sent the November COTOP report yesterday. Working on getting some of the students that have paid their outstanding fees unblocked from Datatel. Working on the last of the equipment list. . John: Everyone in ITS is working on two major projects before the Spring semester beings. Library Basement computer lab. Industry & Technology computer lab. Vice Presidents are scheduled for computers. Julie: Getting things ready for Winter session. Tom C: Thanked Facilities for getting the heating and cooling problem in their area fixed. Accounting Tech person started yesterday. Tom B: Paving work is all done except for Lot F area. Second phase of the signage direction work will be underway. Working with Purchasing on the equipment list furniture. Bruce: Humanities Office are ready: December 20th the first set of faculty members were moved in. January 10th the second set of faculty will be moved in. Rain is causing more delay with the construction of MBAH building. Met with Jeanie on the equipment list and have meetings scheduled with the division deans. Meeting adjourned at 9:55a.m.
