Page 1, Budget Update #1: Question about the $580,000 one-time funding for equipment from Fund 11 that will not be used. Is this part of the $1.278 million from Funds 11 and 15 referred on page 2, #2 under Funding Memo Discussion? Will verify with Janice Ely or Jo Ann Higdon. 2. Page 2, Updated PBC Calendar #3 – Staff was added to “Program faculty and managers.” 3. Rory Natividad is the new Management/Supervisor representative replacing Harold Tyler. 4. The minutes were approved with no changes. Budget Update 1. The new governor will release his budget on January 10th. Jo Ann Higdon will attend a budget workshop in Sacramento next Friday to get details on how new budget will affect California community colleges. 2. Discussion took place about Governor Brown/Prop 13. Colleges were in better position before Prop 13. Planning Update 1. Deadline for ECC and CEC 2011-12 program plans was December 31st. 91 of 97 total ECC program plans were submitted; 18 of 47 CEC program plans were submitted. Of the six not submitted for ECC: two from Fiscal Services, two from Fine Arts, and two from Industry and Technology. 2. All status reports are due by the end of January. 2011-12 unit plans must be submitted by February 28th. Area plans are due March 31st. 3. Work will begin again on the Comprehensive Master Plan; Compton must complete their component for accreditation eligibility. 4. R. Natividad volunteered to join M. Quinones-Perez, G. Turner, and A. Spor on sub-committee to evaluate the planning process; a meeting will be set up next week. The Accreditation visiting team recommended El Camino evaluate their planning process. The sub-committee will develop questions to address different components of the planning process. PBC will review questions (in early February) before being sent to all staff, faculty, and management involved in the planning process. Results will be discussed at the annual planning summit. This year’s planning summit will take place on campus for half a day. The next meeting is scheduled on January 20, 2011. The meeting ended at 1:20 p.m. 1
