People credited with this unit standard are able to: plan and set
out kitchen fittings and fixtures; assemble and install
components for a kitchen; and manage sub-contractors for
installing a kitchen.

Evidence requirements
1.1
The kitchen fittings and fixtures are identified from the working drawings.
1.2
The site conditions are measured and documented in accordance with
workplace practices.
1.3
The fittings and fixtures needed are calculated and ordered in accordance with
workplace practices.

The kitchen fittings and fixtures are set out to conform to the working drawings.
Outcome 2
Assemble and install components for a kitchen.
Evidence requirements
2.1
Components are assembled on or off-site to conform to the working drawings.
2.2
Requirements for fitting the assembled components on-site are identified in
terms of their impact on the installation process.
2.3
Assembled components are installed to meet the requirements of the working
drawings and job specifications.
2.4
Any temporary protective measures required for the components are applied in
accordance with workplace practices.
Outcome 3
Manage sub-contractors for installing a kitchen.
Evidence requirements
3.1
Areas requiring specialist work are identified and managed in accordance with
the job specifications.
