The completion of lead-in production processes is checked against production
information and confirmed before processing commences.

Grade wet blue hides.
Evidence requirements
2.1
Hides are inspected and graded in accordance with company specifications and
customer requirements.
2.2
Grading places hides into ranges giving maximum substance yield in
accordance with company tolerance specifications.
2.3
Consistency of grading between hides and batches is checked to ensure it
meets company specifications.
2.4
Graded hides are counted, identified, and recorded in accordance with
company specifications and requirements.
2.5
Problems affecting the supply of a constant high light environment during
grading operations are reported in accordance with company specifications.
2.6
Graded hides are presented, stacked, and transferred to the next stage of
processing in accordance with company specifications.
2.7
Process control checks and documentation are completed in accordance with
company specifications.
