Workplace procedures refer to the written and verbal instructions to staff on effluent system operation, maintenance, and record keeping, which must meet the requirements of current legislation and bylaws. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Assist with the operation of a dairy effluent management system. Evidence requirements 1.1 Operates a dairy effluent management system in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and workplace procedures. Outcome 2 Identify and correct operational problems associated with a dairy effluent management system. Evidence requirements 2.1 Monitors a dairy effluent system in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and workplace procedures. 2.2 Identifies common operational problems in a dairy effluent system. Range 2.3 at least three common operational problems. Corrects common operational problems in accordance with workplace procedures. Range 2.4 at least three common operational problems. Follows workplace procedure for cleaning the effluent system. Replacement information This unit standard replaces unit standards 25726, 25727, 25728, 25729, 25730.
