People credited with this unit standard are able to: – identify and consider stakeholder needs in relation to activities carried out by a regulatory compliance organisation; and – interact with stakeholders to achieve regulatory compliance outcomes. Te Tiriti o Waitangi refers to the Māori language text of the Treaty. Treaty of Waitangi refers to the English language text of the Treaty. The Treaty refers to both the Māori and English language texts considered as a whole. The Regulatory Compliance sector has a number of terms with specific usage. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Identify and consider stakeholder needs in relation to activities carried out by a regulatory compliance organisation. Range two activities; stakeholders may be individuals or groups. Evidence requirements 1.1 For each activity, identify at least one stakeholder affected by the activity. 1.2 Describe the desired regulatory compliance outcome sought in relation to the stakeholder and the activity. 1.3 Describe the stakeholder’s needs in relation to the activity. Range 1.4 needs must include cultural needs; and may include but are not limited to – information needs, consultation needs, procedural needs. Outline at least one approach for meeting the stakeholder’s needs in relation to the activity, consistent with ethical, legal, and organisational requirements Range key aspects of approach, likely impact of the approach on – stakeholder, regulatory compliance organisation, desired regulatory compliance outcome; and may include – The Treaty requirements. Outcome 2 Interact with stakeholders to achieve regulatory compliance outcomes. Range internal stakeholders, external stakeholders; external stakeholders – regulated entities and/or the regulated sector.
