Purpose
This unit standard applies to operational activities carried out on producing
wellheads.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: locate hydro testing
equipment for a petrochemical well and explain its function; use hydro testing
equipment in a petrochemical well; and document and report on hydro

2.1
The need to use well hydro testing equipment is determined in accordance with
site requirements.

Hydro tests are explained in relation to the requirements of the assigned
company engineer.
2.3
Piping and valving specifications and schedules are identified in relation to the
systems being tested.
2.4
Well hydro testing equipment is operated safely in accordance with site
requirements and manufacturer’s recommendations.
2.5
Test results are reported in accordance with site requirements.

authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.

Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
