They may refer to manuals, codes of practice, or policy statements. Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Demonstrate knowledge of stopple and ancillary equipment. Performance criteria 1.1 Stopple equipment is described in terms of its function. Range 1.2 may include is but not limited to – TD Williamson, Mueller, Black Hawk, Shortstop 60. Ancillary equipment is identified and described in terms of its function. Range may include but is not limited to – nitrogen bottle, compressor, hoses, fittings, plugs, flow stopping bags, valves, adapters, ultrasonic device, radiographs, crack detectors, gas detection equipment, fire extinguisher, breathing apparatus, lifting equipment. Element 2 Describe stopple operations. Performance criteria 2.1 Stopple equipment is described in terms of principles of operation. 2.2 Stopple operations are described in terms of hazards of incorrect application of equipment, and the steps to avoid the hazards are described in accordance with company procedures. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
