This unit standard is for people who work in the crew role in a

People credited with this unit standard are able to assemble
food products in a quick service restaurant.

Legislation and regulations to be complied with include but are not limited to – Food
Hygiene Regulations 1974, Food (Safety) Regulations 2002, Food Act 1981, and
Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

Definitions
Establishment requirements – any policy, standard operating procedure, or agreed
requirement that is made known to the candidate prior to assessment against this
unit standard;
Food products – any products produced and/or assembled by a quick service
restaurant.

This unit standard can be assessed using simulation but must be assessed in the
workplace.

Stock levels of ingredients are checked prior to assembly in accordance with
establishment requirements.

Work areas, utensils, and ingredients are clean, tidy, and fit for use in
accordance with establishment requirements.
1.4
Food products are assembled in accordance with establishment requirements.
1.5
Food products are checked for consistency in accordance with establishment
requirements.
1.6
Shift objectives and food holding times are met in accordance with
establishment requirements.

This unit standard is expiring. Assessment against the standard must take place by
