Primary Industry Training Organisation SSB Code 101558 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NZQA Expiring unit standard 3112 version 9 Page 2 of 4 Evidence requirements 1.1 Cleaning systems are operated in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements. 1.2 Daily and periodic rendering cleaning programmes are completed in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements. 1.3 Effluent disposal from cleaning operations meets organisational and statutory requirements. 1.4 Work surfaces, floors, walls, ceilings, machinery and equipment are cleaned in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements for wet and dry cleaning. 1.5 All remaining traces of contamination are removed from equipment and machinery with approved detergents, cleaning chemicals, scrubbing brushes and scouring pads in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements. 1.6 Chemical types and dilutions meet organisational requirements for the surface and contaminant involved. 1.7 Moisture sensitive equipment is cleaned and protected in accordance with organisational and manufacturer’s requirements. 1.8 Objects likely to obstruct drains are picked up and disposed of in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.9 The hygiene standards of cleaned areas meet organisational and statutory requirements. 1.10 The cleaning process avoids re-contamination of cleaned areas in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.11 This unit standard is Equipment and machinery are left in positions where they will drain off excess expiring water and moisture in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.12 All cleaning equipment and supplies are returned to their correct locations in accordance with organisational requirements. 1.13 Machinery, water, lights and power are turned off in accordance with organisational requirements when wash-up is completed. Evidence requirements 2.1 Tasks are completed within the time and space allocation determined by product flow and organisational requirements. 2.2 The quality and completeness of tasks meet the operational requirements of following co-workers. 2.3 Communication and feedback are provided to and requested from co-workers to maintain and improve task and product quality. 2.4 Co-workers are not endangered through the operator's methods and equipment. 2.5 Co-worker assistance is provided within the confines of product flow and operator space. 2.6 Machinery, equipment, and facility malfunctions are identified and reported to supervisory staff in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.7 Conflict resolution techniques are applied to minimise interpersonal differences with co-workers which may adversely affect team performance.
