This entry level unit standard is for people who are employed in
the rendering departments at meat processing plants and who
are required to operate separation and milling equipment
during rendering operations.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: start up and
operate separation equipment; start up and operate milling
equipment; and comply with organisational and statutory
hygiene and safety requirements, during rendering operations.
