This unit standard involves written Vagahau Niue; Context refers to communicative situations, topics and settings appropriate to written Vagahau Niue; Particular purpose refers to the creative use of language, which could include narrating, describing, and persuading; Publication standard refers to a standard of writing that is of a level of presentation and accuracy that may be displayed or presented to the public. 2 Evidence required for this unit standard is at least one piece of expressive writing of a minimum length of 250 words, in Vagahau Niue. Examples of expressive writing are – description, story, poem, script, advertising copy, sermon. 3 Endorsement of village language variation may be conducted by pulotu, village or community appointed experts.
