Identify construction requirements.
Performance criteria
1.1
Construction requirements are checked against the approved plan for suitability
for intended purpose and regulatory codes of practice.
1.2
Construction materials meet approved plan requirements for type of vessel.
1.3
Construction methods meet industry and supplier's specifications for the type of
material used.
Element 2
Monitor boat construction.
Performance criteria
2.1
Inspection milestones are negotiated to meet contract requirements.
2.2
Boat construction is monitored against negotiated inspection milestones and
construction criteria.
2.3
Construction progress is recorded to meet contract requirements and problems
reported to the client where required.
2.4
Boat is checked to ensure ancillary equipment is fitted and meets regulatory
requirements.

hardware, safety equipment.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this
