Range: 1.2 unwaxed, damaged and loose equipment and bindings, base damage, structural damage. Maintenance options are identified according to company and/or snowsport area procedures. element 2 Maintain basic snowsport equipment. performance criteria 2.1 The reasons for cleaning, deburring and waxing snowsport equipment are described. 2.2 Equipment is cleaned according to manufacturers' recommendations and company and/or snowsport area procedures. 2.3 Boots are maintained. Range: 2.4 may include – buckles, laces; liner, soles, or shell checked for wear; inserts or padding replaced. Skis or snowboards are deburred and waxed according to company and/or snowsport area standards. Range: by hand or machine.
