PERSON SPECIFICATION DATE: 01/04/2016 POST: Play Scheme Coordinator POST NO: GRADE: Stroud 3 SERVICE UNIT: Facilities & Sport Development RESPONSIBLE TO: Sports Development Officer The successful candidate will demonstrate that they can meet the following specifications: Method of Assessment (MoA): A – Application, I – Interview, T – Test ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent -Play work qualification / coaching award level 1 or equivalent EXPERIENCE Working with children and young people in a play work, youth work education or sport environment Supervising other employees and/or volunteers SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Excellent interpersonal, organisational communication and reporting skills. Able to enthuse and manage a group of children effectively, in a child-centred manner Able to plan and record play sessions effectively PERSONAL MoA A A DESIRABLE Child Protection training & knowledge of Child Protection Procedures MoA Recognised First Aid Certificate A Recognised Play work qualification level 3, teaching certificate or above.
