Vocabulary Card Instructions
Vocabulary cards with pictures are available for all of the vocabulary
words for kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade Social Studies Core
Vocabulary Words.
These vocabulary words can be used in classroom activities and/or
posted in the classroom.
When introducing a social studies unit these vocabulary words should
be posted for the students to see. This will help the students
incorporate these words into their own vocabularies. Please be sure to
go over each vocabulary word before posting it in the classroom.
Another idea would be to cut the picture apart from the word. Have
the students then match the picture to the vocabulary word. This will
help students to better identify the meaning of the vocabulary word.
