Facilities Services Weekly Update Meeting

1. Current Projects- Current Projects
a. Vangstad
i. January 6th the Business Dept will be moved over to Vangstad.
ii. Continuing to work on their 18-page punch-list. Painters have re-painted the
walls in the LL again.
iii. Poured the steps for the LL today. The side rails are welded in for LL and 1st
floor.
iv. Doors should be here Thursday and will be installed (if not Thursday, they will
have to work on Saturday).
v. The contractor will have to start working around the building/class schedule
when the spring semester starts.
vi. Signage
1. Foss is working on providing 4 more choices since the original choices
were disliked.
vii. Auditorium- the balcony railing is to code.
b. Wellness Center
i. No update
c. Heat Plant
i. No update until budget is discussed
d. Back Alley
i. No update
e. Lighting
i. Light projects are completed for the time being.
f. Housing
i. No update
g. Master Plan
i. No update
h. Circle Hall Elevator Repairs
i. No update
i. Student Center Kitchen Ceiling
i. Almost complete- still need to install 3 lights (they needed to be ordered and
they will be installed next week).
j. Field House Training Room Accreditation
i. Windows were being installed yesterday, painting done this week, carpet
installed next week.
k. McFarland Stabilization
i. No update
l. Theatre 320 Lighting Project

i. Wiring needs to be investigated- we will be getting two estimates from
electricians.
Future Projects

1. Pouring the lift station by the bridge currently.
Events
a. Rick and Daniel will be splitting the responsibility in Vangstad.
Safety/Training
a. Upcoming site assessment the end of January. Would like to send out a survey to
department chairs for feedback.
b. Emergency Management mid-January.
FAMIS
a. Space data is uploaded in stage- will be reviewed and then added into Prod so the
information (room types/codes) will match up with system requirements for space data.
Building Services
a. Will be interviewing next week to fill position.
Maintenance
a. Moving snow has been going well- got the call this morning for example.
Power House
a. Tomorrow water will be off in Kolstoe for part of the day. Kayla is aware.
b. Working with Kohn today on different projects on campus.
Other
a. Preventative Maintenance
i. Please start working on these lists immediately so the information can be
entered. Need as much detail and information as possible. Please discuss
specifics with your supervisor if you have questions.
b. Skid steer is in with the broom on it. Should be delivered today.
c. Legislature has decided there will be a 2.5% reduction off our total Facilities Budget so
please be mindful of spending from now on. We still aren’t positive what all is
happening so watch for more information in the future.
