Learning Activities: Plant Notes. Discussion, Questioning, and Label different parts of the plant. Students will learn about xylem, phloem and what their significance is to plants. Students will learn about flowering plants versus cone bearing plants. Students will also go into more detail regarding a plant’s roots, stems, and leaves. Learning Activities: Plant Lab-Stations will be set up in the lab area that includes many different types of plants. Students will view microscopes slides, look at lab setups including: carrot and beet roots, xylem and phloem station showing transport in celery and carnations, pine cones and flowering plants, cactus plants, they will also identify the male and female parts of a flower, in addition to many other setups.
