Who Are Managers ? A Manager is someone who coordinates and oversees the work of other people so that organizational goals can be accomplished Managerial Levels Top Managers Middle Managers First-Line Managers Non-managerial Employees managerial level • Top managers managers at or near the upper levels of the organization structure who are responsible for making organization-wide decisions and estahlishing the goal and plans that affect the entire organization • Middle managers managers between the first level and the top level of the organization who manage the work of first-line managers • First-line managers managers at the lowest of the organization that manage the work of nonmanagerial employees 2.
