Quality Management IV&V Plan Template If you are the Project Manager on a project whose complexity level has been calculated to be Medium or High, you will need to complete an Independent Verification and Validation plan. For a Medium complexity project, you are required to have one IV&V performed by a project manager with qualifications commensurate with your project’s complexity who works for another unit in Technology Services. That IV&V must be scheduled after the Planning Phase and before the Execution and Control Phase of the project. For a High Complexity project, you are required to have an IV&V performed by an external project manager with qualifications commensurate with your project. This must be someone outside the University. You must plan for an IV&V following the Planning Phase, one during each year of the project’s execution phase, and a final one in the Closeout phase, for a minimum of three. Contact the PMO to schedule an IV&V reviewer. For each entry into the required Quality Management IV&V plan in PMIT: 1. IV&V Description: Describe the IV&V in terms of the purpose, intentions, how it will be done, who will be involved, and any other information relevant to your stakeholders. 2. Start Date: The date the IV&V is to begin. 3. End Date: The date the IV&V is to end. 4. IV&V Reviewer: The name of the person performing the review. 5. Required Resources: Describe what will be needed to complete the IV&V in terms of resources such as meeting rooms, test system, etc. For more information on the type and contents of the above data fields in PMIT, refer to the Quality Management IV&V Plan guide in the PMIT Instructions area of the PMO Web site.
