Change and Configuration Management Plan Template If you are the Project Manager on a project whose complexity level has been calculated to be High, you will need to develop a Change and Configuration Management Plan. For each item entered into the required Change and Configuration Management plan in PMIT: 1. You must first determine the project control item(s) to use for this plan. You can have a C&CM Plan for any/all but they are entered into PMIT individually. Your choices are: a. Scope b. Schedule c. Budget d. Peformance 2. Change Control Process: Describe how change requests to that control item will be submitted, evaluated, and decided. When a change to a control item has been approved following the above process, update the Change and Control Management Plan in PMIT: 3. Changed Version: Add one tenth to the displayed Current Version. For example, if the Current Version is 1.0 the Changed Version would be 1.1. 4. Change Description: Describe the change in terms of its impact on the project, i.e. cost, time, budget and risk. For more information on the type and contents of the above data fields in PMIT, refer to the Change and Control Management Plan guide in the PMIT Instructions area of the PMO Web site.
