The Board of Trustees of the Houston Community College System held a Special
Meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the System Administration Building, 3100
Main, 2nd Floor, Seminar Room A, Houston, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER
Mrs. Flores, Chairwoman, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and declared the
Board convened to consider matters pertaining to the Houston Community College
System as listed on the duly posted meeting notice.
SECOND PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED TAX RATE
Mrs. Flores apprised that the Board approved to consider the proposed tax rate of
.092489 at a Special Meeting held on September 24, 2008. She extended an
opportunity for individuals in the audience to speak on the proposed tax rate.
Mrs. Flores announced that the Board would consider adopting the proposed tax
rate at a meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., HCC Administration
Building, 3100 Main, 2nd Floor Auditorium.

With no further business coming before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 6:05
p.m.
