vivo. The neuroepithelial cells, transfected to express green fluorescent protein
(GFP), were transplanted into newborn immunodeficient SCID mice through
intraventricular injection. One month after implantation, many of the grafted
GFP+ cells are positively labeled with βIII-tubulin (red in A) and fewer cells are
labeled with MAP2 (red in B). Arrows indicate the GFP+ cells that colabel with
βIII-tubulin in (A) or MAP2 (B). After 3 months, glial differentiation is observed
