WORKING WONDERS FOR SINGLE & TEEN
PARENTS
When Janelle came to Rosalie Hall, a ShareLife agency, she
was a young, single mother suffering from a decade-old
abusive relationship. Emotionally unstable and with low
esteem, she was relying on Employment Insurance to live.
Rosalie Hall helped Janelle regain her strength and
independence. Today, hoping for a brighter future for her
and her child, she has left the abusive relationship she was in
and is studying to be a social worker. In 2009, ShareLife
agencies provided help to more than 11,000 young people –
offering counselling to 1,964 pregnant youth and young
mothers.
Next Sunday, May 1, 2011 is ShareLife Sunday.
Please give generously. You can work WONDERS!
VOCATIONS

ATTENTION TEACHER CANDIDATES
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board requires all
teacher applicants to submit a pastoral portfolio/reference
when applying for a teaching position. It is the responsibility
of the candidate to attend Sunday liturgy, be involved in
parish life and contact the parish priest well in advance.
Teacher candidates who are attending school out of the
local area are also responsible to give the pastor advance
notice. The pastor cannot complete the form if he does not
know the applicant.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
On Monday, May 2nd, the Knights of
Columbus (St. Anne’s Council 14749) will
be sponsoring a Blood Donation Clinic at

any future clinic) that you are from St. Anne’s Parish.
LIGHTHOUSE CATHOLIC MEDIA CD’S
We often have very good intentions to deepen our
relationship with Jesus during Lent, but life can be so busy.
This Lent, Lighthouse has a number of excellent titles on
Confession, the Passion and Easter. CDs are $5 each or
5 for $20. There is also an excellent book from Matthew
Kelly, called Rediscovering Catholicism. It can make a
wonderful gift this Easter for both someone who has been
away from the Church and those who want to deepen their
faith. And the book only costs $5.
IMPORTANT PARKING LOT NOTICE
Please be considerate when attending Sunday Masses
or special liturgical functions and kindly follow the
directions of any outlined arrows.
If you arrive 10 minutes or less before Mass, even if you
are involved in a liturgical ministry at mass (e.g. Lector,
Eucharistic Minister, Choir member) do not try to force
your way into the parking lot because the lot will be full
by then. Ill treatment or letters of complaint to the
Pastor will not change that fact. If you arrive close to
the beginning of Mass (or afterwards!) kindly go directly
to St. Anne’s School for parking but do not park in the
Kiss and Ride lanes. Cars parking in those lanes may
be ticketed by City of Brampton Parking Control Officers
even when school is not in session.

Catholic Education Week –
May 1 – 6, 2011 – “Celebrating the Spirit”
Our publicly funded Catholic schools invite
parishioners to join them in celebrating Catholic
Education Week 2011, which runs from May 1-6.
During this week. the Catholic community celebrates
the distinctive contributions that Catholic schools make
to our students, our community, to our society and to
the province at large. Catholic education continues to
integrate Gospel values into every aspect of the
school’s life and curriculum.
During this week, schools will be celebrating
the gift of Catholic Education with special prayers and
presentations. We ask that the Parish continue to pray
for our Catholic schools, that they may be enlivened by
God’s Spirit and help in the sacred work of “renewing
the face of the earth.” (Ps 104:30)

Week or to find your local school board, visit
