Admissions & State Reports
A recent communication from the state reminds community colleges to maintain accuracy
in reports, especially related to HB1403. Donna King, Kim Faris, and Jeanne Williams
shared the process for submitting data and explained that there is a state-wide discrepancy
in information collected between financial aid reports and admissions reports related to
tuition categories. Each office reports its data accurately; however, the data analysis by
the state doesn’t readily reconcile the two different types of information. Kim used a
PowerPoint presentation to illustrate the many ways GCC collects and distributes data in
preparation of reports required from a variety of sources.
Action/Motion: No action necessary.
Financial Aid Position Replacement
Donna King reported that Angela Woods has submitted her resignation and requested
approval to replace that Database Specialist position.
Action/Motion: The Council unanimously approved the motion by Giles Brown, second
by Marc Payne, to replace the Database Special position in the Financial Aid Office.
