Dutch Level 1+
Prerequisite for entry
For beginners who have a basic knowledge of the language or those who have completed
Dutch Level 1.
Term duration
10 x 2-hour classes.
Aims and Objectives
The aim of the course is to enable students to have a simple conversation in everyday
situations. (vocabulary, grammar and phonetics). Students should be able to communicate in
and understand Dutch on a number of practical everyday matters.
Functions

Asking the price and buying something in a shop
Ordering food and/or drink in a restaurant
Talking about your daily activities
Buying everyday items
Using question words
Using the perfect tense
Asking what someone enjoys doing
Talking about your hobbies
Talking about your job and activities at work
