PowerSearch is to the rescue! By combining the content of five different databases (InfoTrac General OneFile Academic OneFile, Opposing Viewpoints Reference Center, InfoTrac Custom Newspapers, and the Gale Virtual Reference Library) into one easy to search interface, researchers can now search more efficiently and effectively. This database is updated daily and contains over 100 million documents. Yes, that’s right; Over 100 million documents and that number is increasing every day. With this many documents, you will never be at a loss for resources ever again. You can access this database on-campus or remotely via our proxy server at www.lib.montana.edu/epubs/indexes.html. Beginning January 1, 2008, the copy center located in the basement of Renne Library will be closed. As the Library continues to improve services and to meet the needs of it users, it has become necessary for us to reallocate not only our physical space but also our staffing resources. No worries though, you will still be able to make color copies and oversized copies as these machines will be placed in the public spaces of the library. Alternatively, since most of the Library’s collection can be circulated, you can also check out our materials and take them to Cards ‘n Copies located in the SUB or to Kinko’s which is located on College and 11th Ave. Any comments or suggestions can be submitted to Brian Rossmann, Associate Dean, at brossmann@montana.edu.
