In a 3 to 5 minute film, tell us how you use the library. Films can be comedies, tragedies, horror, satire… Whatever works for your vision of using the library in your studies. (Sorry, lust in the stacks doesn’t count.) Contest winners receive an iPod Nano or other great prizes and the glory of having their video on the Library’s website. Films will be judged on: 1). Originality and creativity 2). Ability to convey a practical use of the MSU Libraries Use your own equipment or borrow camera equipment from Media Services in Reid 422 or go to www.homepage.montana.edu/~iedbf/MediaSrv/MS2.html Submit films to YouTube by November 1, 2007. Full details and passwords for submission can be found at www.lib.montana.edu/contest/. Have questions about the contest or need technical tips? Jason Clark can help you out at 406-994-6801 or jaclark@montana.edu. Take a Sneak Peek of Our New Website! Available at http://new.library.montana.edu We’re rolling out a new website in December 2007, and we want you to be the first to see it. It is still under construction so please excuse the occasional broken link you may find and the temporary filler. Take a look and let us know what you love, what you hate, and how we can make it easier for you to navigate. Comments can be submitted to http://new.lib.montana.edu/comments/. O C T O B E R 2 0 0 7 Congratulations to Cameron and Hannah. . . the winners of the Libraries’ Catapalooza iPod Shuffle contest. Their names were randomly selected from the over 50 entries that we received. Cameron Robinson is a sophomore from Bozeman majoring in cell biology and neuroscience. Hannah Geist, yet another Bozeman resident, is a freshman who is planning to major in either sociology or family science. The Library would like to thank everyone who visited our table during Catapalooza. We loved seeing you and are looking forward to working with you this year! “A truly great library contains something in it to offend everyone.” --Jo Godwin Banned Book Week is September 29 –October 6.
