Dear Resident:

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held a public
meeting on Tuesday, February 15 at Holy Lutheran Church for
the Lyon Court Storm Drainage Improvement Project.
During the meeting, the proposed storm drainage project and
associated issues were discussed. Meeting highlights:

Project Manager William Harris introduced the project
team and meeting agenda, gave the project history and
explained 311 requests received from residents.
Mr. Harris stated that the project’s goals were to update the
existing 70 to 80 year old infrastructure, reduce the flooding
in structures and streets, increase channel capacity and
reduce erosion.
Andrew Martin, engineering consultant with USI, explained
the drainage conditions in the overall project area. He also
explained the maps shown at the meeting. Martin also
asked for feedback on where street flooding occurs in the
neighborhood.

Mr. Harris concluded the presentation with more
information about the planning phase and addressed
questions from residents, with assistance from City staff.
Break-out groups were then held to answer questions
individually with meeting attendees.
