Lyon Court s t o r m d r a i n a g e i m p r o v e m e n t p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work Dear Resident: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held a third public meeting on Tuesday, March 25 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The purpose of the meeting was to present and discuss the preliminary design of storm drainage improvements within the neighborhood and initiate the Real Estate Acquisition Phase. Meeting highlights: • Project Manager William Harris welcomed the attendees, introduced the project team and gave a project summary. • Mr. Harris noted the construction plans are approximately 70% complete. As part of the real estate acquisition phase, Real Estate agents will be contacting all affected property owners to discuss the project and any temporary or permanent easements needed. • Greg Van Hoose, City’s Senior Real Estate Agent, briefly described the City’s Real Estate process and noted that agents will be contacting affected property owners soon to schedule appointments to discuss the project, specific impacts to their property, and the documents utilized with acquisition. • A question/answer session was held.
