STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Construction continues for Brentwood Place Phase I Storm Drainage
Improvement Project. Due to unforeseen field conditions within the railroad rightof-way, the focus has been on installing improvements up to and across Remount
Road. These improvements have been completed. Remount Road has been
restored and is currently open to traffic. The project team continues to work with
Norfolk Southern Railroad to determine the best solution for installation of the
two drainage pipes beneath the railroad. Once a solution has been determined,
work will commence within the railroad right-of-way.
Construction continues for Phase II. Storm water improvements have been
installed from Barringer Drive up to West Boulevard. Culvert installation will
continue across West Boulevard. In addition, improvements have been completed
near the intersection of West Boulevard/Remount Road, and sanitary sewer
installation continues between Fordham Road and Bethel Road. Additionally,
water line improvements are scheduled to commence along Camp Greene Street,
just north of Wilkinson Boulevard.
Partial and full road closures will be required for the installation of storm
drainage improvements along West Boulevard and Camp Greene Street.
Temporary construction traffic signage will direct motorists around the
construction work zones. Detour signage will be provided during full road closures.
