CODE ISSUES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
 680.74 Bonding. If a hydro massage tub is non-metallic, has plastic water
pipes and has a double-insulated motor - what exactly will
the equipotential bond apply to?
The bonding is not required to be connected to a double insulated circulating pump
motor. The number 8 AWG or larger solid copper bonding jumper shall be required
for equipotential bonding in the area of the tub but it is not required to be
extended or attached to any remote panelboard, service equipment or any
electrode.
 When using GFCI receptacles for the two required kitchen circuits, is it
possible to use 12/3 AWG NM_B cables to achieve this? What if I were to
use GFCI breakers?
No. As far as we know, there are no GFCI devices designed to work in this manner.
 FYI: 2008 Code Change/ Art. 338.10(B)(4)(a)
Due to the change in Article 338.10 (B) 4 (a), SE cable can only be sized per the 60
degree column for interior wiring. If it is a main power feeder it may still be sized
per table 310.15(B) 6.
