TCA Instructions:
We can submit courses to the TCA 2 x per year: In the Spring, UCOP will ask us when we want our
review date (June, July, August) – we have been June.
Any courses approved through Curriculum the previous year should be submitted. Follow the same
directions to submit through OSCAR for TCA.
We will hear back in July or August.
The 2nd review is in October. Any courses that we denied can be appealed at this time; and we submit
courses that have gone through Fall Curriculum approval. Make sure we have everything in for IGETC
preparation as well (will specifically request GE review in December), but must be on the TCA for IGETC
approval.
We used to submit a paper TCA with markups – now it is all done through OSCAR and with a
spreadsheet (sample linked from manual index).
