We will be conducting our full-time hiring process in the
spring 2014 semester.
HASS Division and Political Science were given funding this
fall to purchase video equipment, lights and editing software to
create online content. I have already reached out to Francine
on this matter and the department will be working with the
TLC on purchasing equipment.
Plan: Full-time faculty will attend FLEX workshop on writing
in different disciplines. Hold conversations/meetings with
other departments to explore possibilities
Plan: Work on finding internships for political science
students as a first step towards eventually developing this
program

SLO Assessment Progress: In a sentence or two, describe where your department should be on the Revolving Wheel of Assessment (what
assessment you should have done in the last year) and what was actually done. If you’re not sure where you should be on the Revolving Wheel
contact the SLO Coordinator (x6366). If any task was not completed, explain why.
After completing our program planning process in spring of 2012 we began assessing the Core Four once again. During the fall semester of
2012 the department is assessed Critical Thinking and in the spring of 2013 we assessed Communication. Please see the attached departmental
