The suggestion is to consolidate Student Services and move HR closer to the Business Office. These changes are based on bfgc’s space plan and current program and service needs. The EMP and FMP plans are being updated currently. Goal is to send a draft to the FPC prior to the April 24th meeting. Joe reviewed the Critical Needs list for spring 2015: Security: Staff is getting preliminary quotes on fencing but have not determined where the fence will reside. Secondary effects HVAC 1550/1600 project: repaired an old boiler using Bond and Capital RDA funds. The $225,000 listed here is not from bond funds. Bldg. 2550 has been held for Administrative Services; we are now activating the remaining parts of the bfgc space allocation plan keeping what is feasible and still makes sense. The EMP and FMP ultimately inform our decisions. Topic Lead Time on topic Action By Whom/ When Primary Effectiveness Link The student and faculty representatives expressed concern about approving the critical needs list as presented. The committee agreed to remove the last bullet under secondary effects (Move Student Services Programs and Services (TBD) to 900 Bldg), break out the estimated cost out of $225,000, and bring it back as a separate item at the 4/24/15 FPC meeting. Dennis will update the committee on the broader Student Services facilities planning issues. The SAC building name change and hours of operation were discussed. The broader campus renumberingbuilding naming is a critical issue that needs to move forward to facilitate emergency services. These topics will be addressed in fall 2015.
