POSITION SUMMARY: (Describe the general nature and the level of work performed by this position.)
The basic function of this position is to provide fire assay analysis skills to the SimuLab fire assay section.
The incumbent is responsible for the analysis of routine client samples according to the requirement of the
SimuLab quality system.

Undertake routine fire assay analysis of customer samples in accordance with the requirements the

Experience Requirements

At least 6 months fire assay experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Current drivers license.
Current forklift license desirable.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: (Work environment characteristics described including hazards that may be encountered while
performing the essential functions of the job.)
Exposure to high temperatures with the use of fusion and cupellation furnaces. Exposure to lead within the
work environment, lead levels will be monitored for all personnel at risk.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Physical demands detailed here are representative of those that must be met for an employee to
successfully perform essential functions.)
Employees within this area are expected to pour high temperature fusions (five [5] at a time), although
equipment used in the process is “state–of-the-art” the job function requires a good degree of dexterity and
strength.
