Discussion: 1. Course requirements for this program have been updated and the department now wants to reactivate the degree. 2. There needs to be re‐examination of the structure of degrees to ensure our programs do the best service to the students. By specifying which course has to be taken as GE, some students will have more than the 60‐units required. For example, transfer students who have fulfilled that area at other institutions, will be forced to take more units to earn the degree. 5. Announcements and Open Forum 5.1 There are no Curriculum meetings in November because of the Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving holidays. 6. Adjournment: On motion by Gary Sokolow, seconded by Michelle Haggerty, the meeting was adjourned at 2:50p.m. Next Meeting: Dec. 9, 2011 Page 3 of 3
