For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, June 1, 2004 Health Education Center at Cameron University to sponsor bioterrorism training exercise 1 The Southwest Area Health Education Center (SWAHEC) at Cameron University invites all healthcare professionals and first responders to participate in a one-day bioterrorism training exercise. SWAHEC will conduct a table-top exercise on June 22 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. June 22 at CU’s campus in Lawton. The training is designed to provide health professionals and first responders with relevant and accessible training to meet bioterrorism and other hazardous threats. The exercise will simulate a realworld scenario and challenge participants to role play through a table-top discussion. A low-stress, yet thorough, group problem-solving process will be emphasized. All participants will fill different roles as they attempt to define participant’s roles and responsibilities as if it were a real disaster.
