Program Goals:
Our graduates will be:
1. Cognizant of the financial, managerial, economic, legal and ethical considerations expected of entry-level bank managers.
2. Effective communicators.
3. Aware of the cultural competencies expected of retail banking professionals in business environments.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Our graduates will be able to:
1. Interpret financial statements and analyze the information therein.
2. Identify issues related to long-term financial planning, working capital management, capital budgeting, and time value of money problems.
3. Comprehend and explain the federal banking system, interest rates and financial institutions.
4. Comprehend and explain retail bank operations, management concepts and issues.
5. Defend the importance of ethical behavior in the financial planning profession.
6. Exhibit effective written communication skills.
7. Exhibit effective oral communication skills.
8. Be involved in professional banking engagement internship, student organization activities or other approved professional
involvement.
