2013 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY
ANISFIELD SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The ASB FACULTY-STUDENT RESEARCH AWARD goes to IRINA SAMOILA.
Irina is a Business Administration major with concentrations in Finance and
Management. Irina worked with Professor Juan Cabrera on original research
entitled: Attention Constraints and the Quality of Financial Markets: An
Experimental Study. The research employed a stock market simulation to
understand how specific constraints on the behavior of stock market specialists and
deals affect their trading strategies and overall market liquidity. Irina coordinated
the implementation of the simulations, assisted in training the participants, and
performed various data analyses.
After graduation, Irina plans to attend graduate school and obtain an MBA
with a concentration in Finance.
