Public Comments: None.

EAP Report Update: Peggy Wagner discussed a five year comparison of the EAP utiiization with
Horizon Health Overail there were 367 cases including the empioyee or those within the household per
calendar year. It is important to increase training throughout the district to remove the stigma of menta
health issues associated with EAP. A higher utilization of the program is the result of increased
knowledge of the services available. How to deal with stress, elderly care, retirement planning, lega
services, sexual harassment training, mental health and "concierge" sen/ices are the most requested.
VI.
Call Center Report: Lei!a discussed adjunct POP plan open enroifment which defines when adjuncts can
enroll for the entire year. The legal 2011 document version will be posted online for all adjuncts to review.
Adjunct employees must be alerted via emaii or phone to inform them of termination of coverage.
VII. Communication Pro|ect: Brent disdosed the costs to complete a new we!!ness communication project.
A two pager is estimated to cost $8,500, four pager is $10k-12k and eight pager is $16k-20k. These
estimates exclude postage and printing (approximateiy $7k). The topics to include are how to use HRA
funds and EAP services available. Volunteers to write the newsletter are Susan and Royston.
VIII. JLIV18C Data Report Post Open Enrollment: Edith reviewed the ACES enroilment report to discEose the
post open enrollment movement from 2010 to 2011 . The most significant discoveries include a decrease
in the PPO PersChoice p!an and an increase in the Blue Shidd Net Vaiue HMO. Overa!! enrolled in 2011
is 6,837 versus 6,929 In 2010. The estimated finanoai impact in 2011 is $60,558,369 versus $56,536,106
in 2010.
IX. Over Age Dependent Letter: Under the state of California, health care reform for over age dependents
enrolling in their parent's insurance is taxed as imputed income. A letter has been created to
communicate the financial! impact for all affected by the new legislation.
