*Current Catalogue Description:
CIT 411. Information Systems Analysis (3) Prerequisite: MIS 315. An introduction to the
processes and methods used for identifying and documenting information requirements and
developing system specifications. Topics include the systems development life cycle, analysis
tools such as flowcharts and data flow diagrams, and techniques for effective written and oral
communication. Case studies are used.
Description of assignment(s) that involve a solo oral presentation:
The course consists of several “projects” that the student must complete. Each of these projects
will require oral presentation and written documentation.
How will the presentation be evaluated?
An oral communication rubric will be used by the faculty member to evaluate the presentation in
the areas of content, delivery, organization, and mechanics.
Estimated percentage of final grade assigned to oral presentation: 25%
