Title: Senior Seminar in International Studies
*Current Catalogue Description:
INT 490: Senior Seminar in International Studies. Prerequisite: INT 105; completion of methods
course and second semester junior or senior standing or consent of instructor. Advanced
interdisciplinary study of topics that address critical developments and debates of contemporary
importance. Production of research or artistic product related to International Studies are of
concentration; oral presentations required.
Description of assignment(s) that involve a solo oral presentation:
Student will present a poster or deliver a brief (10-15 minutes) oral presentation of the research
or artistic product.
How will the presentation be evaluated?
Faculty member will evaluate and provide feedback and at least one member of the seminar will
be assigned to ask questions of the presenter. Grading rubric for oral competency will be
provided to students at the beginning of the course.
Estimated percentage of final grade assigned to oral presentation:
25%
*If changes in the catalogue description are indicated, this proposal must first be approved by the
appropriate school or college curriculum committee.
