Creating a New Account

First, go to the UNCW Sponsored Programs page. This is also a good starting point for any questions you may have as well.
Click the InfoEd link to start the acco nt
start the account creation process.
Click the GENIUS link to create a new account
Once you are on the GENIUS page click “Create a New Profile” Link.

Locate your affiliated institution from the list and then click select.
Fill out the appropriate fields and be sure to select the Office of Sponsored Programs text before submitting
before submitting.
You have now created an account! Note that it will take about a day to validate your account request.
Here you can complete items in the “Required for
GENIUS and SMARTS” and “Used in SMARTS Matching” categories.
Here you will choose keywords that identify your areas of interest,

and other criteria to satisfy your personal requirements. Matches
are done daily and can be sent to your e‐mail.
Once you click a link in the given areas you can specify your search criteria that will automatically send you updates on your interest areas
