Use COS Pivot or SPIN to select your research keywords, create and save searches. E‐mails will be sent when there is a match. • Grants.gov (www.grants.gov) contains information on all federal grant programs. Organizationselectronically find and apply for competitive federal grant opportunities here. • Foundation Search lists the largest 10,000 foundations in the U.S. and over 500,000 grants givenby foundations. It is accessible on networked computers in the Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance (SPARC) office. SPIN (from InfoEd International) http://www.infoedglobal.com Funding Alert services can help you target the announcements you want to receive. Please take a few minutes to complete your individual faculty profiles in PIVOT and GENIUS, select your research keywords, save your searches. You will receive an email when your search criteria match new or updated records. “SMARTS” Funding Alerts www.infoed.org/geniussearch/genius.asp To activate your SPIN account: 1. Select “Create New Profile” at top of page. 2. Follow steps to select institution. 3. On the “Profile Summary Page”, complete the “Required for GENIUS and SMARTS” and “Used in SMARTS Matching” categories. Here you will choose keywords that identify your areas of interest, and other criteria to satisfy your personal requirements. Matches are done daily.
