more than 300 varieties of wine showcased by 10 different wine
vendors. Other highlights will include representatives from
local breweries, live jazz music by the Shawn Maxwell Trio,
food stations, premium artisanal
cheeses, and special gifts for guests.

Recently, Waterleaf was one of two
first-year restaurants in DuPage
County to receive a 2012 Wine
Spectator Award of Excellence from
Wine Spectator magazine. This award
annually honors establishments in the
U.S. and 65 other countries for quality
in selection and thematic pairing of
wines to the menu. “We are pleased to
be one of just 73 restaurants in the
United States recognized by Wine Spectator this year,” said
Jean Pierre Leroux, General Manager of Waterleaf and the
Inn at Water's Edge. “This is an incredible accomplishment for
a restaurant this has yet to celebrate its one-year anniversary.”

Assistant Anthropology Professor Derrick Willis. Cultural
differences directly impact a business' bottom line, making a
keen understanding of how culture and customs impact
commerce vitally important in today's marketplace, Willis
said. Read More

Continuing Ed Reaches Out to Area Students
Continuing Education/Extended Learning will offer four new

and students can enroll in just one class or any combination of
classes, including all four. “When developmentally disabled
students graduate from high school, many parents are left
wondering ‘What’s next?’” said Continuing Education Coordinator
Clare Garling. “These courses were developed in direct response
to a need expressed by parents.” Read More
