Reading Workshop- The Incredible Book Eating Boy, Wolf, I Hate
Reading, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears (to help understand just right/
too easy/too hard) 3 ways to read a book (look at the pictures, read
the words, retell the story), what does read to self look like? (quiet,
stay in 1 spot, eyes on your book, read the whole time), using giant
shoes/shirt to visualize a book that is “too hard”, using baby shoes/
onesie to visualize a book that is “too easy”, using our own shoes/
shirts to visualize a book that is “just right”

Writing Workshop – Wow! School, brainstorm words and symbols to
represent school, painting our symbols of school, All The Places To
Love, creating a class heart map about things we love and we could
write about, creating individual heart maps to help with writing ideas,
writing about what we learned at bus safety, Friday letter to Mom
and Dad
*Dublin Family Night is on
Monday, September 14th
Word Study - star of the day, student interviews, making new words
with the letters of our names, formal spelling inventory assessments
